Update 4/24/22:
The Sunday April 24th matinee show at 2:00pm is cancelled. I am so sorry and hope our audience got a chance to see it at one of the other showings. I will be refunding the ticket charges from Sunday's show in the next couple days. Please contact me if you need anything.
WAHS is proud to present Mamma Mia! Directed by Caitlin Pitts our students will be performing 4 shows in April in the WAHS auditorium.
Advance ticket sales will end for a show 3 hours before the start time. Tickets will then be available at the door. Ticket sales at the door begin one hour prior to the show, doors open 30 minutes before show time. If ordered online, tickets can be picked up at the door at our Will Call table.
Per school board policy: beginning April 4, 2022, face masks will become optional for everyone, including employees and visitors, when on school property, including all school and division facilities, inside or outside, and school buses.
Our Thursday night benefit dress rehearsal does not require tickets. Donations will be accepted to the Eric Betthauser Memorial Scholarship, going to graduating seniors who plan to study the arts in college. Our Saturday matinee showing at 2:00pm is our understudy show, featuring our wonderful, talented understudies!
Our Sunday Matinee show is a sing-a-long! We will be passing out lyrics and you are welcome to sing a long with us!
Synopsis of Mamma Mia!:
On a small Greek island, Sophie dreams of a perfect wedding — one which includes her father giving her away. The problem? Sophie doesn’t know who he is! Her mother Donna, the former lead singer of the 1970s pop group Donna and the Dynamos, refuses to talk about the past, so Sophie decides to take matters into her own hands. Sneaking a peek in her mother’s old diaries, she discovers three possible fathers: Sam, Bill, and Harry. She secretly invites all three to the wedding, convinced that she’ll know her father when she sees him. But when all three turn up, it may not be as clear as she thought! Told through the legendary music of ABBA, Mamma Mia! has become a worldwide sensation that has audiences everywhere dancing.
