AAWIC Women In Film Series

 

The event will take place August 29, 2012 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Showbiz Cafe located at 19 W. 21st Street in New York City.

 

"A Conversation Film & Television Veteran, Pat Golden"

 

Pat Golden has worked as casting director, director and producer in film, television and theater. As a casting director, Golden's credits include The Killing Fields, Platoon, Blue Velvet, East Meets West, New Jack City and The Handmaid's Tale. For TV, Golden has cast for shows ranging from Saturday Night Live to American Playhouse. Golden produced and directed House Party II, A Documentary and The Making of HPII. She line produced three episodes of the children's show Field Trip and associate produced House Party II with Whoopi Goldberg, Hallelujah with James Earl Jones, and PBS' American Masters special on the NEC. Golden has directed and cast productions for such theatrical companies as The New York Shakespeare Festival and the American Place. She directed three Ed Bullins plays: Homeboy, Michael and Heavenly House.  While majoring in Theatre and Anthropology at the Univ. ofPittsburgh, Golden founded her own theatre company, The South Oakland Arts Council, prior to her acceptance into the directing program at Carnegie-Mellon University.
